Artistic Caravan, delivering a hybrid Mobile Art Experience
The Artitude project is a capacity-building initiative to inspire, celebrate and promote art as a tool for social, cultural and economic development. Since 2019, we have engaged over five thousand young adults, seven hundred guardians and twelve institutions, exposing our audience to the possibilities within the art and culture industries. Our audience keeps growing and demanding more frequent engagement, so we are creating an artistic caravan to deliver a hybrid Mobile Art Experience (library, DIY workshop, consultation, virtual exhibitions and artistic moments) to students, institutions and rural communities in Ghana and beyond. Through our Arts and Cultural Experiences, we will inspire and shape the minds of the next creative thinkers.

Our research shows that pursuing art in Ghanaian senior high schools needs to be considered as important as all other courses. Most art students experience some form of discrimination from naysayers during their studies. The study also shows that most art students and naysayers were naive about the possibilities within the creative art space. Through hands-on mentorship, internship and exposé endeavours, the Artitude initiative aims to demystify this creative misconception (negative social behaviour towards the arts) while promoting art as a sustainable career. This project aims to inspire, celebrate and promote art as a tool for social, cultural and economic development.
