Artlife Matters is a Ghanaian nonprofit that uses the arts as a tool for social transformation, cultural preservation, and sustainable development. Through creative education, public engagement, and international collaboration, the organisation empowers marginalised communities, particularly women and youth, to express identity, revive heritage, and address environmental challenges through art.
ONsite Ghana: Reframing Waste Through Ritual and Reuse for the upcoming State of Fashion Biennale. Developed by The Revival and Artlife Matters, the project draws from the living circular practices of Kantamanto Market, where discarded garments are continuously transformed through creativity, labour and community knowledge. Samsung Art Store’s partnership with Artlife Matters is transforming perceptions of art and its role in enhancing diversity and accessibility for artists. We curate and manage authentic African digital content (photography, illustrations and paintings) for a global audience on the art store platform.
Art X Space project (2022): After Amoaka Boafo, the first African to send his artworks into outer space aboard Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket, he shared exclusive industry insights with Artlife Matters. Artlife also partnered with Uplift Aerospace to stream the historic event to schools and the art community in Ghana.
