About Us
Artlife Matters LBG (ALM) is an art-based organisation celebrating and promoting art as an essential developmental tool for social, cultural, and economic transformation in Africa and beyond. Established in Ghana (2019), the organisation has been involved in local and international projects that have significantly impacted the creative narratives in Ghana and beyond. Artlife Matters prioritises community because art catalyses social, cultural and economic transformation. ALM collaborated with Uplift Aerospace on an outer space trip of Amoako Boafo’s artworks, the Samsung Art Store partnership to empower local creatives, the Artitude project, which has empowered over five thousand young creatives, and many other significant initiatives and support activities that make us critical contributors in a growing creative sector.
2025 kicked off with the Finding My Authenticity (FiMA) project, which aims to instil appreciation for cultural heritage, promote creativity and sustainability, and encourage respect and cooperation among children. Artlife has been implementing a joint international cooperation project (Unfolding Cultural Heritage—UCH) since we signed a five-year agreement with Ramdom APS and the Lecce Library and Museum Centre (Puglia Regione) in Italy to promote collaboration, experiential exchange, and cooperation.
We aim to create and manage a vibrant creative ecosystem that drives social, cultural and economic development.
Our vision is to become a creative powerhouse that leads and drives sustainable strategies and systems to propel the full potential of the African creative industry.
